Facebook game Castaways signed up to game discovery platform
London, UK – 28th September 2011 – TeePee Games, the rapidly growing games discovery platform for social, smartphone and online flash games, is pleased to announce it has signed a deal with Liverpool based development studio Setgo. The partnership will see Setgo’s first original Facebook IP Castaways be made available on the TeePee Games discovery platform.
Setgo is a software development studio focused on creating games and technology for open, networked and social platforms. Founded in 2010, Setgo is headed up by Jason Chown (Technical Director), Christian Lavoie (Creative Director) and Clemens Wangerin (Managing Director), all of who were formerly part of the executive team at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
Castaways is a survival-based adventure game currently in beta on Facebook and Hi5. Shipwrecked and stranded on a mysterious desert island, players must tackle various survival tasks and carefully manage their resources to survive, prosper and possibly even escape. Social features have been integrated into the game, allowing players to send messages and view their friends’ basic statistics. The latest expansion, Chapter 3, launched at the end of May and introduced a host of new characters, locations, activities and weapons to the Castaway island.
