GREE’s popular free-to-play MMO mobile game, Crime City, is celebrating its first anniversary. Time flies when you’re committing crimes!
Since launching in August 2011, players have been checking their morals at the door in their quest to reach the ultimate mafia status of Crime Boss. Players having been spending their time building up their unlawful empires, strengthening their gangs, and partaking in crime sprees all for the love of money. Within the past year, Crime City has proven a loyal and strong fan following from around the world, celebrating a #1 rank in free games in 17 countries on the App Store.
In celebration of a hugely successful year and loyal fan base, GREE will kick off a weeklong crime spree from August 24 through September 2. During that week, every player who logs into the Crime City will receive a Close Combat MG, and will have the chance to compete in four different player competitions, where the top 25 players in each category will receive a high-valued rare item. The four competitions include:
o Blood Thirsty – Most successful attacks on different players
o The Pirate – Most robberies committed
o Gettin’ it Done – Most quests completed
o The Banker – Most cash collected from buildings
Crime City will continue to keep players enthralled in this criminal saga by introducing lots of new features and content including new jobs, criminal titles, and unlawful goals to continuously enhance players’ gameplay experiences.
