Akamon strengthens its team with the recruitment of 20 new professionals The online traditional social gaming company has increased headcount by 20% in the last two months, and expects to complete the expansion with the addition of more than 15 new professionals by the end of the year.
The recruitment of unique international talent with experience in the gaming industry is one of the company’s keys to success Akamon Entertainment Ltd, the leading international online social gaming company specializing in traditional and casino type games in southern Europe and Latin America, is expanding its team with more than 20 professionals to suit up for the company’s international expansion and strengthen its development and marketing teams.
In the last two months, the company, headed by CEO Vicenç Martí, has incorporated seven new professionals into its head office in Barcelona, where the corporate and business areas are based, and in Valencia, where the company has its development team. On the business side, Carol Zamora, previously with the local airline Spanair, is the new Customer Service and Support Manager, and Guillaume Esperou, from the French multinational CCA International, will accompany her as Customer Service Representative. Meanwhile, Albert Massaguer joins as Product Manager for the Facebook team led by John Millar. Also in Barcelona, Anna Salomone has joined as Country Manager for Italy.
On the development side, the team in Valencia led by Carles Pons has taken on Game Developers Francisco Javier García and Juan Antonio Pérez and Web Developer Sergio Segarra. In the next three months, Akamon plans to further expand its team and for this reason the company is in the process of hiring a Head of HR to lead talent management in the company. Furthermore, a Country Manager Other Latam (managing all Latam markets except Brazil and Mexico) will join the team. Specifically, Akamon plans to launch its first games adapted to the mobile channel before the end of 2012, and therefore part of the company’s efforts to attract talent in the coming months will be geared towards recruiting the best experts in the mobile sector.
